Prophet David Owuor came out to say that he does not take offering when he conducts his prayer meetings.
Prophet Owuor of the Ministry of Holiness and Repentance said he can’t ask for money when people come to be healed and receive the word of God.
The prophet said asking for offering would demean the message he has for the people adding that the Lord provides for him.
During a sermon he gave on Jesus is Lord Radio in 2015, prophet Owuor said the Lord can’t let him go hungry when he is doing His work.
“When the Lord uses me as His vessel, and people are healed, and cripples walk, what would happen if I asked for offering just after God has healed somebody? People will give everything and do it emotionally. But asking for money, as I do the work of the Lord demeans the message I am trying to pass.”
“The Lord told me to serve him, and it is Him, who provides for me. The Lord can never let me go hungry, because He is the one who told me to stop everything I am doing and work for him. That’s why I don’t ask for offering from the congregation,” Prophet Owuor said.
