Religious leaders in Kenya have been called upon to preach tribal reconciliation ahead of the August polls.

Visiting American Prophet from Los Angeles Dr. James Rene says churches in Kenya have a big responsibility to ensure tribal reconciliation.

Dr. Rene who ministers at Higher Vision Church located at Santa Clarita Valley, North of Los Angeles said he was a victim of 2007/08 post-election violence with regrettable experience.

He says he was in Kenya to minister before the post-election violence broke and unfortunately he was unable to reach the airport due to skirmishes and that Kenya cannot afford to a repeat of such anarchy.

In what he termed prophetic word for the nation, he said Kenya is God’s Resting Place and African nations will search due to robust growth in education, technology, new streams of investment and a great movement among the young adults rise.

 “There must be a movement of churches of all tribes and races praying and working together across this great nation for peace and reconciliation to reign,” he said.

His message to Kenya comes amid heated exchanges from the government and opposition over land issues.

National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale over the weekend called for the arrest of NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga over what he termed inciting Maa community against other communities.
