Budalangi legislator Hon. Ababu Namwamba has said that the Health Insurance Bill he proposed before the Budget Committee of the Kenya National Assembly has been approved.
Ababu is well known to have contributed to many bills in the National assembly, and seems to be a happy legislator as his bills before the house get approval.
Ababu he did not hide his happiness and took to his social media pages to post that the Social Health Insurance Bill has been approved. The bill was one of 11 Bills the legislator has sponsored in the 11th Parliament.
"The Budget Committee of the Kenya National Assembly approved my proposed Social Health Insurance Bill, one of 11 Bills I have sponsored in the 11th Parliament. This Bill establishes a legal framework for universal healthcare for all Kenyans. We must bring to life article 43 of the Constitution that guarantees the right to health care. I'm happy," read his post.
The legislator has been in the forefront since he joined active politics, sponsoring and bringing bills before the National assembly for approval.
