The Kisumu Conference has elicited debate across the country with some saying devolution was God-sent and others disapproving.

Andrew Wambugu who is the Chairman of Molo Traders Association lauds Devolution and what it has brought to the people.

"Before Devolution, everything had to come from Nairobi to reach us; they gave us what they thought we needed. But today we decide what our problems are and how to deal with them," said Wambugu yesterday.

Daniel Kiarie the Chairman of Elburgon Bodaboda Association in Molo echoes Wambugu's sentiments.

"The County Governments have helped us a lot as bodaboda operators in terms of training, licensing and so on. Devolution is good," he said.

However there are those who are disappointed by the system.

"Since these governments came into being, levies keep going up. The centralised system was better," Paul Mwangi, a butcher in Elburgon town said.
