Juja MP Francis Waititu has called on the Inspector General of Police and Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery to take stern action against politicians who make inciting remarks.
According to Waititu, Cord leader Raila Odinga, Gatundu MP Moses Kuria and Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko should face full force of the law.
The lawmaker said that Sonko's remarks made at the funeral of the former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti's husband are disrespectful to the President.
During the funeral, Sonko made a controversial remark that he is the acting President of Kenya, a sentiment that elicited public condemnation.
"Sonko must take full responsibility for his words. He must tell Kenyans which constitution says he is or he should be the acting president when the head of State is out of the country. That is treason and he should understand that he is just a Senator," Waititu was quoted by the Star.
On the other hand, the legislator accused Raila of telling Cord supporters to forcibly eject IEBC commissioners from office. He said that the former Premier should behave in a way that befits his status and as such, whenever he makes inciting remarks, the law should not spare him.
As for controversial Gatundu MP Moses Kuria who recently called Raila's supporters cows,Waititu said that he should not be spared.
"They are using inciting language so they can go on another fish eating spree to iron out their issues. We are tired of this and Kenyans want them taken to court and jailed if found guilty," he said.
