Deputy President William Ruto has reached out to police asking them to protect lives of Kenyans.
The DP also reached out to the law enforcers to move with speed and ensure that perpetrators of the killings in Mathare and those who destroyed property are brought to book.
He said lives of innocent Kenyans should not be lost because of politics.
Ruto was speaking at the St Mark’s ACK Mukui Parish, Kabete, during their 43rd anniversary.
The DP said that every community had the right to reside in Nairobi and any other region in the country without being intimidated.
“Nobody is above the law and action will be taken against those inciting Kenyans to violence, irrespective of their social status, political party or where one comes from,” Ruto said.
