Kisumu County ODM chairman Ayiecho Olweny has said protesters will not match to IEBC offices in Monday's demonstrations against the electoral body.
Olweny said the demonstrations shall be peacefully conducted along the city streets.
He told the police to ensure maximum security is given during the demos.
Speaking on phone on Sunday, the former Muhoroni MP said: "We shall peacefully demonstrate along the streets and will not match to IEBC offices. We therefore don't expect a chaotic engagement with the police."
Kisumu OCPD Tom Mshimba has however, called on those engaging in the protests to ensure peaceful protests are conducted without destroying any property.
"Protests should be as peaceful as possible and we shall provide enough security to ensure that property is not looted or destroyed during the protests," said Mr Mshimba.
Last week's demonstrations turned chaotic as police fired bullet to disperse demonstrator.
One person was killed during the protests.
