Protests erupted in Mombasa town on Tuesday, following the witnessed harassment of NRM general Miguna Miguna by the police and immigration officials at JKIA on Monday night.
Miguna Miguna was bundled into an Emirates Flight EK722 to Dubai, back to Canada.
A bunch of security officers bungled the self-proclaimed NRM general into the plane, tearing his suit as he screamed, protesting and refusing to take a seat.
Miguna protested the deportation while on the plane, saying immigration officials illegally bundled him to the plane.
He would be seen in the plane that had over 400 passengers explaining to the Emirates Airline officials that he had no passport to enable him fly out of the country.
The plane had not left the airport during all this time.
"I'm not going! I'm not going! I'm not boarding! I'm not boarding because I don't have a passport! The captain cannot fly! You cannot take me away from my own country! Kill me I'm not afraid of your gun! I'm not going to Dubai," protested Miguna, at around 11pm.
Supporters of Miguna in Mombasa condemned the attack on Miguna, saying President Uhuru Kenyatta ought to have contained the situation by allowing Miguna into the country.
The lamented saying that the truce meeting between Raila Odinga and Kenyatta was pure blackmail since the country was back to political tension.
"Uhuru you had powers to stop was going on. We saw Raila making a phone call to you.. we don't know if you were unreachable or what. This was something to be controlled just by a phone call," said one of the protesters.
The irate Miguna-supporters later threatened that there would be no peace in the country if the government continues to harass opposition leaders and disobey court orders.
Former Nyali parliamentary candidate, Said Abdalla Saedo, also condemned the harassment of Miguna Miguna, and asked government to honour court orders.
