Supporters of NASA Coalition activist Miguna Miguna in London and the United Kingdom on Thursday took to streets to protest Kenyan government's move to lock out the Canadian lawyer from the country.
Carrying 'respect rule of law' and Miguna-support placards, the supporters peacefully demonstrated in front of the UK House of Commons (Parliament), criticizing the Jubilee government for allegedly failing to honour court summons issued to the Interior ministry bosses over Miguna issue.
They also stood in solidarity with Miguna, who is now in Canada after being denied entry into the country on March 26, saying he is a Kenyan and should be allowed entry. In response, Miguna commended the supporters, saying:
"I thank NRMKe members, patriots, comrades and friends of Kenya, for taking up action."
This even as Interior CS Fred Matiang'i said the government denied Miguna entry into the country after he declined to provide his traveling documents to the immigration officers at JKIA.
