Nyamira county governor John Nyagarama has been challenged to come out clean and explain why Persons Living With Disability (PLWD) in Nyamira County are being discriminated.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, Kenya Social Congress party chairman Atati Kengere said the county government is found of discriminating disabled persons.
"we want want the governor to explain why they employed a section of PLWD in Nyamira county and have not been paid their salaries for two years now when others are still benefiting from their jobs,"said Atati Kengere.
"The constitution of Kenya allows county governments to give 30 Pc jobs to PLWD ,we don't know why they are not benefiting from their rights," added Kengere
Kengere challenged Nyagarama's administration to be transparent in employment and to pay county employees salaries to maintain and respect the constitution of kenya
He also threatened to join PLWD in Nyamira to protest in the next one week to compel the county to pay their salaries.
