Kisumu Senator Prof Anyang Nyong'o has challenge government to move fast and investigate the circumstances under which controversial businessman Jacob Juma died.
Speaking during a morning talk show in a local television station this on Tuesday, the veteran politician called on government to wake up and give Kenyans answers they expect nearly a week after the businessman was killed by unknown people near his home in Karen.
According to Prof Nyong'o, there is much the government is supposed to tell Kenyans following unending cases of murder on Kenyans who raise dissenting voices on how the country is governed.
"We urge the government through its investigative arms to take these issues seriously as we have had very many cases of assassination in this country which have not been investigated to date. Le us know what killed Jacob Juma," said the Senator.
This comes amid accusations from the opposition that the government is targeting people who come out to criticize it on bad governance.
