Kabogo says that SK Macharia's claims that Raila won the 2007 general election is an insult and lack of respect to retired President Mwai Kibaki, who was declared winner in the disputed polls.

Speaking in Juja during a meet the people tour on Thursday, Kabogo asked Macharia provide supportive evidence to his claims.

"It is unfortunate that someone like Macharia can disrespect retired President Kibaki by claiming that he (Kibaki) lost the 2007 elections to Raila. He should support his claims with evidence," he said.

The Kiambu governor also questioned the motive of Macharia's claims adding that it is malicious and meant to achieve a certain agenda.

"Why has he (Macharia) waited until now to claim that Raila won the 2007 general election? His claims are malicious," he said.

Kabogo warned that such utterances could result to uncertainty among Kenyan communities during this electioneering year.
