Deputy President William Ruto has said the Jubilee government is committed to providing clean and safe water to all Kenyans.

Ruto made the remarks on Thursday when he met and interacted with locals at Rabai in Kilifi County.

The DP said the government has allocated money to construct water collecting points in regions mostly affected by drought.

"The provision of water to all Kenyans for domestic, sanitation and commercial use is a priority. It will ease the burden of women and pastoralists who travel long distances to access watering points,” said Ruto.

He assured residents in the area that the Baricho, Mzima Two and Mwache water projects that have been funded by the government will cater for their needs.
