In a new twist regarding the Kabogo and Waititu duel, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has denied that Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu was an employee there.
In a statement from PSC signed by Alice Otwala, the commission says it has no records to show that the politician has any employment records.
“The Commission does not have any records of the alleged employment of Mr. Fredinand Ndung’u Waititu on 16th January, 1989,” the statement curtly said.
Earlier, a controversy emerged alleging that Waititu is not the Clifford Ndung'u Waititu appearing on the academic papers.
In a suit filed by Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, he said that "Ferdinand Ndung'u Waititu, whose birth was registered on January 4, 1980, cannot be the same person as Clifford who sat CPE at Mbagathi Primary in 1975."
Waititu says he applied for change of name in the run-up to the 2013 general election where he changed from Ferdinand Ndung'u Waititu to Ferdinand Clifford Ndung'u Waititu.
Kabogo claims the MP changed his name in 2013 to acquire all academic papers needed to vie for the gubernatorial seat.
In a document in Kabogo's affidavit from Punjab University says that Waititu's name is not on their records.
“The name of Ferdinand Waititu is not in on record as a student of B.Com Degree course during the academic sessions 1985-86 to 1987-88. The student having registration No. 85-GC-555 is Clifford Ndung’u Waititu during the academic session 1985-86, 1986-87 and 1987-88 for B.Com through degree course,” it said.
Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu has asked Kiambu governor William Kabogo to prepare for a tough political contest in 2017.
In his defense, Waititu has rubbished claims by Kabogo and he has lined up close to fifty classmates from Mbagathi Primary School to Panjab University in India to prove he went to school.
He said, “Kabogo should stop fearing my candidature in 2017 and instead prepare the ground. I went to university and even did computer.”
It is now a 'wait and see game' for the voters as the two continue pummeling each other and seeing who will outdoor the other in muckraking.
