The April rainy season has finally started this time round with floods all over the country.
The heavy downpour on Thursday rendered the Kawangware - Kibera - Yaya road impassable as people using it were afraid due to the flooding rain waters.
The road was covered by water, forcing pedestrians this morning going to work to use alternative ways to get to their place of work as many matatus could not reach the interior of Kibera slums while some matatus hiked fare claiming that it is rainy season thus the demand is high for passengers to rush to work since some roads experienced heavy traffic.
Public service vehicles plying the Kibera -Yaya- Wetlands route were in to make a killing out of the situation as fare charges hiked from sh30 to sh60 this morning.
