A pub attendant at Mawanga market centre along the Nakuru-Subukia road has been arrested for being in possession of 50 rolls of bhang.
The woman, identified as Jessica Waithera was arrested last evening with the bhang which she allegedly sells at Sh50 for each roll.
Police officer in charge at the Teachers police post, Mercy Musyoka, confirmed that police were holding the pub worker while more investigations were going on to establish the source of the drugs.
She said police arrested the woman after a tip off by members of the public who informed them of the filthy backdrop business she was undertakings at the pub.
“We received information that the suspect sells bhang to some of his alcohol clients. We want to know where she gets the bhang from and who else is involved in the illegal activity,” Musyoka said.
She added that police arrested the woman after unearthing the drugs in the money safe at the pub’s service counter from where she works from.
