According to the Kisii County land commission chairman Ombasa Omweno, some individuals grab public lands once they realise that such lands have no title deeds something he termed as unlawful.

Addressing the press in Kisii town, Omweno asked all school heads in public schools to make arrangement in processing title deeds.

“We want all public schools to have title deeds so that public land is not grabbed by some individuals. I urge school heads to work with our commission in getting title deeds,” said Omweno.

He also urged those who have grabbed public lands to surrender them before a serious action taken against them.

“It is not good when somebody grabs public land we need to be serious about anything we do in our lives for those who have lands that belong to the government, surrender before a serious action is taken,” added Omweno.
