Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala has said there is need to resolve the negative factors affecting the tourism sector.
Speaking on Wednesday during the Coast Tourism Stakeholders Forum at the English Point Marina Hotel in Mkomani, Mombasa County, Najib Balala, said the forum was aimed at coming up with solutions for the challenges facing the sector.
"I do encourage as a matter of significance, all the counties to develop tourism products that can be identified with. This is because there is always a great chance of attracting tourists in their own way and in a unique manner,” said Balala.
The CS further urged security officials to refrain from publicising the small issues of security lapses as they have a negative impact on the steady growth of the sector.
The forum was attended by major stakeholders in the hotel and tourism industry.
