A pupil died while two others sustained serious injuries on Wednesday after the bus they were using overturned along Lang’ata Road in Nairobi.
It is alleged that the bus driver was speeding when he tried to overtake another vehicle near the Kenya Wildlife Service main offices.
"It is like he realised too late that he was approaching the speed bumps and so the bus just flew in the air and rammed into the guardrail as it overturned," an eye witness said.
The bus was ferrying over 50 pupils from a school in Maua and were coming to Nairobi to participate in the National Music Festival.
