At least four pupils sustained injuries when they were caught up in a political commotion during a Jubilee political rally in West Pokot county, Tuesday.
This happened when President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived at their school causing a section of excited youths to rush towards the venue, to see him.
Police however lobbed teargas canisters in order to disperse the crowd, for security purposes, affecting pupils as well.
The incident saw four seriously affected pupils rushed to Lilyon in Kapenguria after inhaling large amounts of teargas smoke.
The school children have since been treated and discharged from the hospital.
