The angry pupils uprooted beacons that had been placed on the land last week.

A pupil identified as only Kamau accused area leaders for keeping quiet instead of coming to their rescue.

“Leaders from the area have kept quiet allowing the cartels to grab land. It is a shame for corrupt people to attempt to grab our school. We will remain strong with the help of our teachers the cartels won’t succeed,” said Kamau.

A teacher who requested for anonymity said efforts to get help from the area MP Patrcick Wainaina have not bore fruits.

"We have been trying to reach the area MP to help us with funds to fence the land but in vain. We are appealing to him wherever he is to come to our rescue to keep off the cartels trying to grab the school land,” he said.

He said land grabbing in Kiambu County is rampant and called on the national government through the ministry of land to take action against those found guilty.
