It was joy and jubilation at St. Peter’s Elite School and West Way School in Gilgil after most of the candidates from the two schools performed well in this year’s KCPE Examinations.

Joseph Kimani, who could not help hide his joy upon getting news that he scored 431 Marks in this year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams, was a pupil from St. Peters Elite.

News about his success was received with joy and jubilation by his family members, teachers and friends.

''I attribute this success to the Almighty God, my dedicated teachers, my parents and my determination. I aspire to join Starehe Boys’ Centre and later pursue Nero-surgeon course,” said Kimani.

‘‘Our child has all along been disciplined and we had total confidence in him that he was to perform well. He has indeed made us proud and we will always support him to whatever level he would wish to reach,” said Kimani’s parents.

At West Way School, Headteacher Samuel Karatu said that he was impressed by the performance of all the 25 students who sat for this year’s examination adding that the success was as a result of hard work and discipline.
