National soccer side Harambee Stars head coach Paul Put has asked fans to rally behind the team in their bid to secure the Cecafa senior challenge trophy that is currently on going.

Stars beat Tanzania 1-0 on Monday to finish ob top of Group A and book their semi final berth against Burundi and the Belgian is confident that with massive support his charges can storm the regional tourney's finals and bag the ultimate prize.

"We have not arrived yet.We have to work harder.The players are showing the will and desire to succeed and it's now up to the fans to come out and support the team," he said.

Put also heaped praises on his charges for showing their mental by dusmissing a near 'early exit' from the bstrength bonanza and by solidly defending their 1-0 win against the Kilimanjaro stars despite the goal coming very early in the match-

"I'm happy for the boys.We never stood much chance from the media but still managed to finish top as group winners.We managed to score and got the deserved win.Overally,there was progress in our game,"he added.

Stars will now square it out with a tricky Burundian side next Thursday in Kisumu in a bid to determine who makes it to the finals.

Put was speaking to the press shortly after the Tanzanian tie at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
