National soccer side Harambee Stars head coach Paul Put has expressed caution over the inability of his strikers to score goals after Stars were held to yet another barren draw by surprise package Zanzibar in a Cecafa match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

The draw means that Stars have only scored once in open play in their last three matches with the goal coming from Dancun Otieno in their 2-0 win against Rwanda. The other goal was a penalty scored by Masoud Omar.

And speaking shortly after the frustrating draw against the Islanders, Put said that Stars could find the going rather tougher if the strikers will not rise to the ocaccsion and score goals.

"We had a good game against Zanzibar and we had to be very careful beacuse they are good with counter attacks.I can't say I'm dissapointed beacuse the boys have been playing well behind and in midfield but the strikers need luck on their side because we create enough chances but we are not winning. If you cannot score you cannot win", Put said.

Stars who currently occupy the second spot in Group A have a mountain to climb in their last match againsta winlesss Tanzanian side and they need a win to secure their qualification to the quarter finals.

However, on a positive, the Kenyan team is yet to concede a single goal since the tournament began on December 3.
