National soccer side Harambee Stars head coach Paul Put has named his squad that will square it out with Tanzania in the ongoing Cecafa tourney at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Monday evening.
The squad surprisingly is without talismanic striker Masoud Juma who emerged as golden boot winner in the recently concluded Kenya Premier League and who scored in Stars 2-0 victory against Rwanda in their opening match.
Also dropped is his Kariobangi Sharks teammate Duncan Otieno who interestingly also scored the other goal against the Rwandese.Otieno's place has been taken by Gor Mahia maestro Ernest Wendo.
Put has constantly raised issues with his offensive front for not scoring goals and it is believed that it largely due to this that he decided to hand AFC Leopards striker Vincent Oburu a starting role instead of Juma.
Stars are going into the match knowing all too well that only a win will guarantee them a spot in in the regional tourney's quarterfinals.
Stars are currently second in Group A with five points, two behind leaders Zanzibar while Tanzania are fourth with one point.
Here is the squad to take on Tanzania.
