Leaders drawn from various churches across the county blamed wrangles witnessed in the county on politicians’ failure to seek divine intervention.

Speaking at Molo town on Sunday during an interdenominational service held to pray for the county and its leadership, the church called on the county officials to respect each other.

Bishop Daniel Kome from the African Inland Church (AIC) said that most leaders lack wisdom, which he said is given by God.

“In the recent past, we have seen our leaders engaging in war of words. It is time for Nakuru leaders to bury their differences and instead embrace one another,” said Komen.

On his part, Bishop Onesmus Mwangi of the Anglican Church advised the county leadership to involve religious leaders in decision-making.

“The church is always a place of peace and the church leaders are known to be peace makers and I want to send an appeal to all our leaders and the county top leadership to seek our counsel whenever they are making any important decisions,” said Mwangi.
