Jared Kinaro, an ODM member in Nyamira says it will be shameful for the party that has kept the government on its toes to become insignificant over disgruntled officials.

"Raila is our party leader and if he can't sit with his executive and resolve their in-house differences, ODM risks becoming irrelevant in Kenyan politics," he added.

Kinaro says the resignation of ODM vice chair Paul Otwoma and the looming fallout of the secretary Ababu Namwamba are matters that need urgent redress.

"It's a big blow to ODM if the trend goes on because we will lose members while our rivals will celebrate over this. For this reason, Raila must look for ways to avert a fallout in the party," said Kinaro.
