New Harambee Stars Coach Paul Put has expressed satisfaction with the level of support the government has shown.
After meeting Sports Principal Secretary Kirimi Kaberia on Tuesday, Put said the government's support is always paramount for the success of any national team.
“I have just had a meeting with the Principal Secretary and he has assured me of Government’s support. This is very important for the national team and it is one of the reasons for my success in the past,” he said.
The new coach said he will commit himself to raising the profile of the Kenyan team, adding that he will seek success by working with his assistants.
“I will work with Okumbi and let him select local players as he has worked with them in the past and understands each and every one of them and is in a good position to know who deserves to be looked at and given a chance,” the coach added.
