Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has mocked Deputy President William Ruto’s continuous trips to opposition strongholds insisting that they will not yield result.
The DP, who was in Mombasa on Sunday, has been traversing regions that the opposition controlled in 2013 polls.
In a renewed attack to the country’s second in command, Kalonzo challenged him to put his house in order before reaching areas that are firmly in opposition.
“I have seen someone very dedicated in descending on opposition strongholds all the time. He is very aware that those areas are strongly behind the movement that will bring change to this country,” Kalonzo said without making direct reference to the DP.
“He cannot even manage Rift Valley because you have made a decision. I want you to embarrass them in 2017 by voting a formidable opposition team,” he added.
The Wiper leader was speaking at Bomet Green Stadium during the homecoming rally of area Governor Isaac Rutto who had returned from South Africa where he went for treatment after allegedly being hit with a teargas canister by a police officer.
