Matiang'i, in a recent appearance before the National Assembly committee on national security, accused a section of judges of collaborating with opposition friendly quarters to sabotage the government's operations, with regards to the recent National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader Miguna Miguna saga.

However, speaking on Radio Jambo Saturday, Mutura asked the CS to instead concentrate on streamlining the police service, which is facing claims of contravening the constitution, before venturing into other independent quarters.

''Matiangi should concentrate on bringing sanity into the police force which falls under his mandate before going out to attack other independent arms of the government,'' he said.

''It is his responsibility to address the recent claims and allegations that have been raised against the police. He has to solve such first and can thereafter raise concerns regarding separate bodies,'' added the former Jubilee lawmaker.

The lawmaker further took issue with Matiang'i's move, urging him to table proof against the accused judicial officers for a permanent solution.

''He has all the investigative apparatus at his disposal and instead of lamenting should gather and table evidence to aid in the ouster of the accused judges,'' he added.
