ODM leader Raila Odinga has been urged to put his coalition back to track if he wanted to compete with Jubilee in 2017.
Garissa Political analyst, Hillary Obure says the rate at which Cord leaders are moving to Jubilee is worrying and calls for a quick response.
He has asked Raila to find out the reasons a large number of leaders are moving out of the party, adding that if he had listened and handled the grievances of the then Party Secretary General Ababu Namwamba, he would not be battling for the Luhya votes but concentrate on other regions.
“There is no competition but a direct win for Jubilee in 2017 if the same goes on. We are seeing cases of party leaders day by day leaving the coalition a reason to worry,” he says.
He asked the party leader to stop complaining and work on his party, saying it is not the best time to tame rift within but time to fish for votes from Jubilee strongholds.
“The party leader should stop complaining of Jubilee buying Cord politicians and focus on a good strategy that will also attract Jubilee leaders to his party. Complaining will not do Cord any good,” he added.
“We are hardly a year to the general elections and here we are seeing fallout in Cord. It is high time the top party leaders take their duties seriously,” he noted.
