The company has been targeting farmers from Nyandarua and Nakuru counties.

According to Raphael Mwangi, a pyrethrum farmer from Kenton in Nyandarua, the company has been paying for deliveries after one week.

''We are hopeful that the pyrethrum industry will be back on its feet soon because already High Chem agriculture has supplied farmers with certified seedlings for the coming planting season. We are just hoping for the best,'' added Mwangi.

He however called on the government to open up chances for participation in pyrethrum extraction in order to ensure competition in the once Lucrative Sector.

“We are assuring farmers that flowers which we have already been received at our factory located  at Athi River EPZ will soon be processed into finished products,” said Wilson Mwangi, High Chem Field Officer.

He noted that they have been reaching out to farmers with a view to encourage them revert to pyrethrum since most of them had uprooted the crop due to frustrations caused by the defunct Pyrethrum Board of Kenya.
