As we are busy campaigning for the current leaders as to whether to vote them in 2017 or not, we need to ask ourselves some questions.
Are the projects the leaders we elected in 2013 being initiated within the county and the country at large to help the community? When you look at the projects that have been initiated by leaders elected in 2013, most of them have not been done, only a few have been accomplished.
Any person would argue that they are aimed at winning the public trust but whatever the intention the leaders have, the projects are of much help and benefit to the community. I would, however, like to urge our people not to make decisions by just considering what these leaders and aspirants have done in the past one or two years but on what they have done since they took those positions.
Another question is, do the elected leaders as well as aspirants have good management skills required to run the county, constituency, ward or country? At times, leaders who are in power may not have done anything noticeable compared to aspirants. Some aspirants have good management skills unlike those leaders in power.
Leadership needs action oriented people whose results and achievements can be felt and seen by common 'mwananchi'.
Despite the public outcry on major corruption in the country even in parliament itself, the leaders have not spoken a word on them.
