President Uhuru Kenyatta's top aides are embroiled in tough supremacy battles over management of State House affairs, reveals the Sunday Nation.
With Presidential Executive Order of 2018 yet to be released, several state house employees are reportedly claiming to be answerable to President Uhuru.
Among those cut in the uncertainty include Joseph Kinyua, who heads the civil service ang his deputy Wanyama Musiambo, who is reportedly working from Harambee House.
Apparently, Uhuru's longtime secretary and outgoing Solicitor General Njee Muturi, was appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff with Waita Nzioka remaining his boss.
But Muturi's close relationship with Uhuru is causing anxiety given that he used to override former Attorney General Githu Muigai.
All these officials who operate from State House, are also supposed to be cleared by State House Comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua, former Nakuru governor.
Also claiming to report directly is Communication Director Manoah Esipisu, under whose docket lies a retinue of directors.
During the swearing in of Cabinet Secretaries, an agitated Uhuru was seen firing at the officials on the podium in which each of them seemed to be in control.
While the duty is mainly conducted by Head of Civil Service Kinyua, Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita was seen to be in control.
