Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambo, who has himself stated that he will quit Cord in the 2017 elections says the coalition is rooted in failure and that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka should quit immediately.
Mutambo said Kalonzo still has time on his side to salvage his career, and that if he does not act with speed, he will be in serious trouble come the next election and thereafter.
"I have been speaking on this topic for a while now. It is time that my brother Kalonzo Musyoka quits Cord to save his career," he added.
He continued that Kalonzo is losing respect among his peers for insisting on remaining with Raila instead of being his own man.
" We know what he can achieve but he has to be hasty and leave Cord," he stated.
According to Mutambo, the Cord coalition will lose the election come 2017 and that it will be the final nail on the coffin for Raila and those around him.
"Kalonzo must be careful not to be put together with that group," he noted.
Mutambo is among a group of MPs and leaders from Ukambani region who have quit the coalition saying they will support Jubilee come 2017.
