Opposition leader Raila Odinga has been challenged to withdraw from August elections and prepare to face DP William Ruto in 2022.
Odinga 72, is set for hi forth attempt to clinch presidency after three unsuccessful outing with the closest coming in 2007.
But Kericho senator Aeron Cheruiyot has accused the veteran leader of being unprepared to face his opponents in August polls and blamed him of the limbo electoral team IEBC is facing.
“You can’t antagonize people all the time just because you want to be the final. It is wrong that he always wants to interfere with operations of independent commissions,” said Cheruiyot in reference to Odinga’s demands that IEBC withdraws ballot printing paper tender that was awarded to a Dubai company.
He added: “If you are not ready to face us, it will be important you start preparing for 2022 to face DP William Ruto.”
Under the NASA MoU, Odinga is set to serve as a transitional president should he beat President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
