A fired up Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto now wants his main challenger Joyce Laboso to quit the race to avoid a humiliating defeat in August.
While Laboso is contesting on a Jubilee ticket, Rutto is vying on a Chama Cha Mashinani party and has since joined opposition outfit NASA.
In yet another jibe to the Jubilee candidate, Rutto mocked her performance in National Assembly as Deputy Speaker.
“She was even unable to control debates of very few people and I wonder how he can manage to take care of the county,” said Rutto on Monday at Ndanai.
He added: “It will be of her own good to withdraw from the race because it won’t be business as usual. I will ensure all Jubilee candidates are sent home.”
In the past few months, Rutto has been leading spirited NASA campaigns in the region and has been credited on the surging support in the region perceived to be a Jubilee stronghold.
On her part, Laboso has been spearheading Jubilee campaigns in the South Rift region and hosted President Uhuru Kenyatta last week.
