At least ten candidates have shown interest in the South Mugirango parliamentary seat after the incumbent Manson Oyongo’s decision to go for governorship.
Others are Mr Robert Mbaka, Rashid Minyong’a, Ezekiel Okengo, Josphat Sagero, Vincent Maobe and Joshua Ondora.
Others issues include the Constituent University at Nyangweta area that has been crawling along.
Political analyst Denis Masenge says, rhetoric surrounding the Sugar plant and soapstone helped forge Mr Nyamweya’s gubernatorial ambitions.
"We were promised a sugar factory yet all that we are being treated to are mere circuses," he said.
Omatabori has the highest concentration of five candidates all salivating for the parliamentary seat.
They had often been voting together with Omoige, a relatively smaller clan.
