Deputy President William Ruto's wife Rachel Ruto has called on Kenyans to reelect the Jubilee adminstration for another term.

Speaking earlier in the week in Laikipia County, Mrs Ruto further pleaded with Kenyans to forgive the Jubilee government on unfulfilled pledges in the run up to the 2013 general elections.

“I know some people are blaming the government for failing to act on time to prevent a number of problems currently facing the country, including food shortage and drought related challenges. As a God’s servant and wife to Deputy President, I plead with you for forgiveness,” she stated during a prayer rally in Nanyuki.

She also urged Kenyans to uphold peace before, during and after the forthcoming general elections.

“I will take a message of peace to all the counties and I will urge people to desist from inciting Kenyans during the campaigns so that we can have peace before and after the General Election,” she said.

Her sentiments were reiterated by Laikipia governor Joshua Irungu, who was in attendance of the prayer meeting.
