Gor Mahia Fc chairman Ambrose Rachier.(Photo/soka.co.ke)Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has expressed his satisfaction over his tenure at the helm of the club after he midwifed the delivery of a new constitution to the reigning KPL champions during it's Sunday Annual General Meeting (AGM) in a Nairobi hotel.Speaking on Tuesday to a local sports website Futaa.com, the long serving chairman revealed that the new blueprint is transformative and will ease the admission of members to the title holders aside from reducing the number of elective positions from eleven to five to do away with bureaucracy-"I am happy for delivering a new constitution to Gor Mahia.It has been a tough process but we had to tighten all ends to make it a reality. This constitution will take Gor Mahia many steps ahead.Just to highlight,we have recognized the branches as part of the club's structure. We have adopted the Barcelona membership model which will be affordable to many fans," he said on reference to European soccer giants Barcelona FC.Rachier added that the club will soon carry out an awareness campaigns to its thousands of fans on how the new membership can be acquired adding that if that will be realized then sustainability of the club will be a guaranteed venture.Although largely successful on the pitch,the sixteen times champions have often struggled with issues sponsorship that at one time forced them to rely on fans' donations to stay afloat.
