Twaha says that Raila is afraid of facing off with President Uhuru Kenyatta because he has no numbers to win.

Speaking to journalists in Lamu Town on Friday, Twaha accused Odinga of employing delay tactics in order to have the October 17 repeat poll postponed.

The Jubilee governor also claimed that Odinga’s actions show that he is plotting for formation of a coalition government

“The fact of the matter is that the former Prime Minister (PM) is scared of facing off with President Kenyatta and wants the election postponed,” he said as quoted by the Standard.

Twaha asked Raila to stop issuing demands and get ready for rematch with President Kenyatta.

The Jubilee governor said that the country is on hold, adding Raila’s demands complicates preparations for the presidential repeat election.

Governor Twaha at the same time vowed to lead Jubilee campaigns in Lamu and other coastal counties.

He exuded confidence that President Kenyatta Uhuru will garner many votes in Coast saying that residents are happy with the development agenda his government has achieved.

President Kenyatta will face off with Odinga in repeat poll slated for October 17.

Odinga however says that he will not participate in the repeat election unless a thorough cleanup is done at the IEBC.

The opposition has forwarded to IEBC the demands it wants addressed before the repeat presidential election.
