Moses Wetangula, over the weekend launched his presidential campaign at the Muliro Gardens before he was interrupted by the youths who were supporting Kakamega governor, Wycliffe Oparanya. Police had to use teargas to disperse the crowd where Wetangula supporters reportedly dealt with Oparanya’s boys.

The ODM Likuyani MP, Enoch Kibunguchy said the key suspects behind the chaos were Oparanya and Raila. The opposition leader did not attend the launch, something that raised many questions among CORD supporters.

Kibunguchy condemned the act but questioned why Raila skipped the launch.

‘’It is very bad that the CORD leader skipped the meeting. The meeting had been postponed for several times just to allow him to attend then come the very day he fails to show up. Why could he not show support to his co principal, why could he communicate earlier that he would miss the meeting?’’ he asked.

The Kakamega governor, Wycliffe Oparanya has, however, distanced himself from the chaos saying he did not plan anything. Kibunguchy, however, said the governor did a childish action.
