The Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning Mwangi Kiunjuri has accused CORD leader Raila Odinga for using corruption allegations against Jubilee government to gain political mileage.
“Raila is politicizing corruption and the government`s projects for selfish political gain.This is not entirely about corruption and care for the Country but a way spoiling Jubilee`s name ahead of the 2017 general election,” said Kiunjuri.
He said that the opposition coalition has made the corruption allegations a campaign tool and that they have not proved any of the allegations they have come forward with.
“All these allegations without proof is not of any help to Kenyans,” he said
Speaking at a church service in Murang`a on Sunday Kiunjuri assured the country that all graft allegations will stop when the 2017 general elections is over.
“The opposition should allow the government to go on with their functions, their role is that of being a watchdog but not to constantly interfering with the governments work,” said Kiunjuri.
“There is no way you can be a whistle blower and the Jury at the same time, let all these organizations that the tax payers pay their money for carry out its mandate,” he added
He commented on the upcoming demonstrations that have been planned for Tuesday by CORD legislatures over the rampant corruption in the Country terming it as pure entertainment for Kenyans.
