Opposition Chief Raila Odinga has accused the Jubilee government of using Kibera as an avenue to loot public coffers.
Speaking in Homa Bay on Sunday , Raila said that the government was pretending to improve lives of people in Kibera through the programme only to use it for stealing.
"They pretended to be interested in improving the conditions in Kibra through the National Youth Service ( NYS) yet their real intention was to create an avenue to loot. ”he said.
Odinga defended his constant criticism on Jubilee government saying it had failed to meet expectations of Kenyans, four years after taking office.
The ODM leader faulted those questioning his development record during his time as Lang'ata MP adding that he had come with a housing scheme to improve sanitation in Kibera slums.
