NASA leader Raila Odinga and his Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) brigade have been asked to peacefully exit the Opposition coalition.
Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Moses Wetangula on Monday announced that the NASA ship was not going to fall victim of the recent truce between Mr Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
They said any party unwilling to walk under the NASA spirit was free to quit. While speaking in Kitui West, during a campaign rally for Kitui West MP aspirant Edith Nyenze, the trio maintained that they were for an all-inclusive deliberation on how the country would undergo healing and reconciliation.
Further, the leaders expressed that they were upbeat of a strong Opposition ahead of the 2022 general elections.
”We want to confirm that I, Musalia and Wetang’ula will remain together and that we are not bothered about what happened recently. NASA unity is intact,” Kalonzo Musyoka said.
The Wiper leader boasted of being the only ligament giving the Opposition peace. He said that he would strive to ensure that the Opposition alliance remained intact up to the next elections when he will run for the presidency.
Mr Wetang’ula and Mr Mudavadi expressed worry with the recent peace deal between Mr Odinga and Mr Kenyatta saying it was posing danger to the ideals held by the Opposition.
However, they said NASA’s dream was in the minds of Kenyans and nothing would change it
