Raila Odinga has dismissed claims that a parallel tallying centre for his National Super Alliance (Nasa) is in Tanzania.

There has been claims that one of the opposition's tallying centre that will be used to count presidential votes, is situated in the neighbouring country.

Tanzania, through its government spokesperson Hassan Abbas, on Twitter, however dismissed the allegations, Monday, shortly before Raila's dismissal.

He said: "The attempt to link the peace-loving government of Tanzania with involvement in neighbours' elections is a mistake beyond reality."

"Why should someone worry about where the tallying centre will be? Raila wondered.

According to the presidential candidate, it does not make sense for his rivals, to worry and keep guessing where the Nasa tallying centre will be, ahead of the August 8, voting day.

"Why should we have a tallying centre in Tanzania?" he added, during the Monday presidential debate, adding that "it can be in Germany or the moon. But it will be in Kenya and the clouds," he said amid laughter from the audience at the CUEA, in Nairobi.

Earlier reports also indicated that Nasa would have three tallying centres, in Germany, Kenya and Tanzania.
