If elections were held today, Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga would beat his arch rival, President Uhuru Kenyatta, Infotrak opinion polls have indicated.
Released today, the research firm says that Mr Odinga would get 49 per cent of the total votes cast, while Mr Kenyatta would manage 48 per cent of the votes.
The pollster also says 2 per cent of the registered voters are still undecided on who they will vote for come August 8, next week Tuesday.
According to Infotrak, headed by Angela Ambitho, Abduba Dida would get 0.3 per cent of the vote, while Third Way Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot would attain 0.1 per cent of the votes cast.
The pollster suggests there would be a run off between the President and the Opposition leader, as none of them would meet the 50 per cent plus one Constitutional requirement, for one to be declared President.
