It seems the 'war' on illegitimacy wedged against President Uhuru Kenyatta's second term at office by the Opposition might not be sustained as some liutenants of Raila Odinga have started appreciating that Uhuru has been sworn-in for a second term.
Veteran Nakuru politician Koigi wa Wamwere , an ally of opposition leader Raila Odinga, said that though he did not vote for Uhuru, he is the president of Kenya.
"Whether I voted for Uhuru or not, he is the president of Kenya after he was sworn-in again on 28th November 2017," Koigi said.
Koigi said people get to power through various ways and there is need to appreciate them and wish them well.'There are many reasons why people get to power including luck, merit, fate and inheritance, it is reasonable to wish whoever gets there his best for everybody," Koigi said."As president of Kenya, if Uhuru succeeds, all of us shall benefit. But if he fails, all of us shall fail too, " he added.
Koigi's position seems to contradict his boss in NASA, Raila Odinga, who led his supporters on Tuesday to insist that they do not recognize Uhuru's presidency.
