Opposition leader Raila Odinga has indicated that the Jubilee government has stolen a lot of money since it entered power in 2013.

Raila said the money lost in corruption under Jubilee’s regime ,cannot be compared to what the striking doctors are asking for.

“This thing could cost less than Sh10 billion, the amount of money which has been stolen in this government since it started is much more than that,” said Raila.

The Opposition chief added: ''The Health sector, the other day embezzled Sh5 billion. The Eurobond Sh215 billion. So there is money to deal with this issue.”

The ODM leader stated the government had a legal obligation to obey the contract that it signed with the doctors.

“Why were this government promising mountains when they were only going to end up delivering hell,” the former Prime Minister wondered.

Raila was addressing the press at the Court of Appeal grounds, Wednesday, after the Court pronounced the release of seven doctors' bosses who had been jailed.
