[Photo|Philip Etale]The National Super Alliance (Nasa) took its campaign tour to Thika Super Highway (Thika Road), Thursday.Led by presidential candidate Raila Odinga, co-principal Musalia Mudavadi and Johnston Muthama, the brigade addressed residents in Kenol, Thika, Juja, and Githurai, by making stopovers.Residents lined up along the highway, waving to the leaders, who assured them that the Nasa government will cater for their needs, after it wins in the August 8 elections.Raila assured residents in the areas, which lie in Kiambu County (largely occupied by Kenyans of the Agikuyu community), that the Luo community had no grudge with them.He said his government will treat them equally, just like other Kenyans. However, Raila's team faced hostility in Thika and Githurai, after supporters perceived to be of the Jubilee Party attacked their rally, hurling stones.Police were forced to use teargas to disperse the irate youth, with security blocking Raila's convoy from being attacked by the youth.Mudavadi however condemned the incident, saying those who disrupt political rallies should desist and vote for whoever they want.On Friday July 14, Raila will lead Nasa campaigns in Nairobi, and later to Moyale, Marsabit and Laisamis, on Saturday, July 15.
